Education is the only way to change cultures and public policy in regards to human trafficking. A positive example of both occurring is the progress of the DWI – Driving While Intoxicated – violation. Thirty years ago, a DWI violation was not a significant offense. Today, however, it could cost an individual their job. MATTOO resolves to create a similar stigma to human trafficking. To accomplish this change within human trafficking, however, will take men influencing other men.
As more men join the anti-trafficking movement, MATTOO is brainstorming how we can continue to mentor, encourage, educate and engage these men as they look for specific ways to join this movement. (What is a MATTOO Man?)
We are currently working on educational curriculum that will address this issue. Stay tuned!
